Miniature ballasts cover all fluorescents up to 25 W

Opto-Electronics
With increasing environmental awareness and the trend towards energy-saving electronic ballasts with fluorescent lamps.
Philips offers its e-Matchbox series as a lightweight, compact solution for all linear and compact fluorescent lamp types up to 25 W. Particularly important, says Philips, is its instant flicker-free start, making it ideal for lighting situations where infrequent switching is required. A further advantage of the range is that one type can be used to drive a single lamp of different types and wattages. The e-Matchbox ballast has a smart power IC to keep its power constant and gives the ballast compact dimensions and low weight compared to the electromagnetic ballasts.
The e-Matchbox ballasts are available in linear or rectangular versions, and as non-encased versions as a bare PCB for OEM integration. Six ballast models cover eight different linear and compact fluorescent lamp types with power ratings from 4 to 24 W.
