Monolithic 9-Mbit synchronous dual-port family
26 March 2003
News
IDT has introduced a 9-Mbit, monolithic, synchronous dual-port product that operates at speeds up to 200 MHz. They also include a unique set of features that ensures maximum flexibility and performance, making them suitable for mobile wireless and core/metro infrastructure markets. By contrast says the manufacturer, competitive devices offering 9-Mbit of true dual-port storage rely on multiple die within the package, resulting in a restriction on performance and a loss of the address counter functions. In addition, the new IDT family is pin-compatible with the company's existing x36 and x18 synchronous dual-port devices, enabling an easy upgrade with minimal board changes.
