Wideband synthesised signal generator

25 November 2020 Test & Measurement

Mini-Circuits announced the release of the latest addition to its array of microwave components, the SSG-15G-RC synthesised signal generator.

The SSG-15G-RC is a wideband synthesised signal generator operating over a frequency range of 10 MHz to 15 GHz with a 0,1 Hz frequency resolution. The settling time for this synthesised signal generator is 3,5 ms and it has an output power level of up to +16 dBm, depending on the frequency selected. The dynamic range is 60 dB.

The signal generator is cased in a compact, rugged metal shielded package and equipped with an SMA(F) 50 Ω connector at the RF output port and starts immediately when power is applied.

Using the supplied software, the user can easily select one of several different output modes including multiple pulse modulation options, frequency sweep, and power sweep including up, down, or bidirectional. The SSG-15G-RC can be controlled from almost any Windows or Linux PC, via USB interface, or any computer with a network interface via HTTP, Telnet or SSH.

Typical applications for the SSG-15G-RC are LTE, 5G and Wi-Fi (2,4-7,2 GHz) testing, Dynamic Frequency Selection (DFS) simulation, lab and field test equipment, high-volume production testing/ATE and electronic warfare (EW) systems.
