Miniature plug connectors for the transmission of radio frequency (RF) signals are essential components of smartphones, tablets and wearables as they form the basis which makes these communication technologies possible. These connectors are commonly used in IoT applications in particular and will continue to be used in minimalist devices in the coming years.
For the microwave and board-to-board connectors in the LSC, HSC, KSC, JSC series from Murata, Ingun has developed high-performance RF test probes which transmit radio signals between circuits as well as components (e.g. antenna and motherboard) – with very low losses (VSWR, insertion loss and return loss).
The very compact HFS-336 probes are suitable for low-profile designs and have frequency ranges up to 12 GHz (JSC) or 6 GHz (LSC, HSC, KSC). They are equipped with flange mounting and a standard SMA interface.
