Power conversion specialist International Rectifier has strengthened its South African distribution channel by announcing new agreements with South African Distributor Avnet Kopp.
The new appointment is specifically designed to address the demands of new business and global customers and does not affect agreements with existing local distributors.
Discussing the new agreement, Colin Moger, Inter- national Rectifier's Northern Zone Sales Director comments: "We have always had a strong distribution channel in South Africa and this will continue to provide high levels of support to local customers. Adding Avnet Kopp to the distribution channel in South Africa offers the International Rectifier range of products to a wider customer base. Our product range is now well stocked and strongly supported both technically and logistically within this very important market."
Albert Kopp, Managing Director of Avnet Kopp added "International Rectifier has the breadth and depth of power semiconductors that fully complement our existing products and will further enhance the strong value proposition that Avnet Kopp has in South Africa. We feel that this agreement is an exciting opportunity for both companies to increase our customer base within South Africa."
The new agreement covers the entire international product portfolio and Avnet Kopp is a stocking distributor.
