Count, calculate, indicate: universal counter for flowmeters
27 July 2022Manufacturing / Production Technology, Hardware & Services
Instrotech is offering Kobold’s electronic unit ZOE which is specifically designed for the calculation and display of flow rates and volume flow of flowmeters. Whether users have an external power supply or need a battery-powered device, and when a back-lit display may be necessary, the ZOE can be used for an extensive range of applications.
The electronic unit shows flow rate and resettable daily and total counter. All customised programme settings remain saved in the unit, even after a battery change. The instruments are suitable for harsh indoor and outdoor environments and comply with EU Electromagnetic Compatibility directives. ZOE’s UV-resistant, glass-fibre reinforced nylon housing is weather-resistant and has CAT IP66/67 Nema 4X protection rating.
ZOE’ backlit LCD is configurable and besides the display of flow rate and daily counters, mass units may be set and displayed. The input to ZOE is a pulse which may be NPN, PNP, NAMUR or reed switch, making it suitable to be connected to flowmeters with a pulse or frequency output. The unit also has a scalable pulse output and is contained in a housing ideal for wall or pipe mounting.
Users can choose either the compact version, in combination with Kobold’s DON and DOT flowmeters, or the remote version. Both devices assure users of an outstanding price/performance ratio.
