Cords is approaching the milestone of its first year under new management and, despite difficult economic conditions, the company has had a successful year this far, having established a number of new supply relationships with organisations across the industry spectrum. The company has grown its bespoke assembly capability and business substantially, and is undertaking a greater measure of lead-free cable assembly work in response to market demands.
Cords attributes its growth success to its commitment in ensuring that it sustains production excellence at all costs, and its focus on the importance of quality in adding value to its customers’ successes. The company continuously searches for new customers to grow its business, and continues to seek ways to improve its supply chain and overall production and quality assurance processes.
Over the next few months, Cords will be focusing on its BBBEE roadmap. As a qualifying SMME, the company enjoys an accredited 100% procurement recognition, but says it remains passionate about creating the context for ongoing and measurable efforts at real transformation, regardless of its size.
