Essential Energy started from humble beginnings in Port Elizabeth back in 2006, and acted as an agent for Uniross Batteries in the Eastern Cape. In November 2007, the company relocated to offices in Edenvale, Johannesburg, when the company successfully concluded a management buy-out of the Uniross’ industrial division.
Essential Energy specialises in the design and assembly of battery packs, and strives to ensure that its customers are offered complete battery solutions for today’s demanding electronic market. The company also offers services such as battery repacking (power tool, laptop, video camera and all general batteries) and battery testing.
The company offers a full range of industrial and consumer battery products including nickel cadmium cells, nickel metal-hydride cells, lithium ion, lithium polymer, primary lithium, sealed lead acid, maintenance-free lead calcium, alkaline, zinc carbon, emergency lighting batteries, two way radio batteries, battery chargers, generic laptop batteries and power supplies, battery back-up units, consumer packaged batteries, chargers, remote batteries, torches and testers etc. The company stocks high quality products such as Saft, Omnergy, Tekcell, Duracell, Ultralast, Uniross, Hybrio, Forbatt and Deltec, to name a few.
