Dual core industrial PC

6 August 2008 Computer/Embedded Technology

Axiomtek has introduced a new compact, high performance embedded computer which supports a socket type Intel Core2 Duo processor and Intel 945GME chipset with two PCI Express slots. The fanless design and unique thermal solution enable the IPC910H to operate without noise and work reliably in critical environments at temperatures from -5°C to 45°C. This rugged industrial barebone system is a powerful all-in-one box PC with expansion capability especially suitable for industrial automation, kiosk/POI, digital signage (DSA), gaming and vehicle applications.

The IPC910H offers two PCIe slots (PCIe x1 and PCIe x4, or two PCIe x1) to deliver expandability, and supports two DDR2 533/667 SODIMM sockets up to 4 GB system memory. It also supports one 2,5" hard disk for high-capacity storage and one CompactFlash Type II socket for onboard solid-state storage. It features two power connector options, Din-jack and Phoenix plug, making it easier to apply in a wider range of environments.

Protected by an extremely rugged cold-rolled steel housing measuring only 188 x 241,2 x 150,4 mm in size, the IPC910H can be used in the harshest of environments. It features rich I/O connections including two Gigabit Ethernet ports, six USB 2.0 ports, four COM ports (three x RS232, one x RS232/422/485), PS/2 and VGA. Additionally, it supports various embedded operating systems including Windows 2000, Windows XP and Windows XP Embedded (XPE).
