New outdoor housings with an installation depth of 80 mm extend the ECS range of outdoor housings from Phoenix Contact. The smaller design allows device dimensions that are 75% more compact. It is therefore especially suitable for space-critical applications such as sensor technology for special vehicles. With proven device connection technology, tailored interfaces for signals, data and power can be realised.
The housings, made of UV-stabilised polycarbonate plastic (UL 94-V0), are designed with an IP69 degree of protection and are suitable for a wide temperature range of -40°C to +100°C. Along with the new version, housings are also available with installation depths of 109 mm and 169 mm. A pressure-equalisation membrane available as an option ensures a greater level of air exchange, increasing the service life of the housing’s internal electronics. The housing parts can be sealed securely to protect the electronics against unauthorised access.
