Elen Enclosures recently added a new range of wall-mounting mild steel enclosures from Italian metallic enclosure manufacturing specialist ETA. The new ECOR-Fe range is built to Industry 4.0 standards and boasts improvements in design and construction, with protection provided by the new ‘E DUP’ double-layer powder-coating process. This includes a first layer of primer paint using cathode electrophoresis with epoxy resin and a topcoat of epoxy-polyester thermosetting powder, together providing better protection against environmental elements.
The ECOR range succeeds the previous ST range and comes in RAL7035 light grey. The single- and double-door enclosures are certified to IP66 ingress protection, provided by a continuous polyurethane foamed-in gasket and sealing plugs for hinge and mounting holes. Standard dimensions range from 200 x 300 x 150 mm up to 1200 x 1200 x 300 mm. Interior capacity is increased thanks to an additional 7 mm in depth achieved by a new construction design, including a structured gutter fold with an 80° incline for greater structural rigidity.
The enclosures feature a new wall-mounting system with expansion nut and easy fastening from the outside of the box. The reversible door has welded reinforcement profiles and a new concept and shape for pressed steel hinges. A window version is offered with tempered safety glass. The locking system is designed for quick installation, with a 1/4-turn, 3 mm double-bar metal insert.
The ECOR-Fe range has an enlarged cable entry plate with a bordered flange, fitted with continuous polyurethane foam gasket to maintain IP66 sealing. The enclosures are also designed to allow side-by-side mounting with simultaneous opening of the adjacent doors. Accessories include DIN distribution board chassis, internal doors, rain canopies, pole-mounting brackets and 19-inch fixed racks.
