Infineon’s latest power chip is a single-stage AC-DC fly-back controller suitable for providing up to 130 W for battery charging applications. The ICC80QSG is a PWM controller for fly-back converters. It is designed for use in conjunction with one of Infineon’s super-junction MOSFETs.
The controller has externally configurable brown-out and brown-in hysteresis to protect the primary MOSFET from overheating during input under-voltage. The controller also protects against over-temperature, output over-voltage, over-current on the primary side, and input over-voltage.
Typical applications for this module include mains adaptors, PC equipment, TVs, monitors, and amplifiers.
