The STMicroelectronics STM32WBA2 is a cost-effective, low-power wireless microcontroller designed for energy-sensitive IoT applications. Extending the STM32WBA family, it integrates a multiprotocol radio supporting Bluetooth LE, Zigbee, and Thread, enabling flexible connectivity across a wide range of smart devices.

At its core is an Arm Cortex-M33 processor running at 64 MHz, paired with 512 kB of Flash and 96 kB of RAM, providing a compact yet capable platform for both application code and wireless stacks. The device delivers robust RF performance, with up to 10 dBm output power and programmable transmit levels in 1 dB steps, allowing designers to optimise energy consumption and extend battery life.

High integration reduces system complexity and cost, supporting simple 2-layer PCB designs and offering interfaces such as USB full-speed and QSPI with execute-in-place capability. Pin-to-pin compatibility with other STM32WBA devices and fully supported by the STM32Cube ecosystem further simplifies product scaling and migration.
