ON Semiconductor offers two new multiple-channel differential switching ICs in single-pole, double-throw (SPDT) switch configurations for high-frequency signals such as PCI Express 3.0 and DisplayPort 1.2 I/O. The NCN3612B is a 6-channel differential SPDT switch that supports 8 Gbps data transfer with an on-state capacitance (CON) of 2,1 pF and an on-state resistance (RDSON) of 8 Ω. This is complemented by the NCN3411, which is a 4-channel differential switch also capable of supporting 8 Gbps operation. It has CON of 2 pF and RDSON of 7,5 Ω.
The NCN3612B has a power supply voltage range of 3 to 3,6 V and draws a supply current of just 250 μA, while the NCN3411 has a power supply voltage range of 1,5 V to 2,0 V and draws a supply current of 200 μA.
