Alliance Memory has released two new high-speed 8 Mb CMOS SRAMs in the 44-pin, 4-mil TSOP-II and 48-ball, 6 x 8 mm TFBGA packages. Featuring fast access times of 10 ns, the AS7C38096A (1 Mb x 8) and AS7C38098A (512 Kb x 16) are pin-compatible with 4 Mb fast SRAMs, offering twice the density in the same slot. Relevant for commercial, industrial, telecom and medical applications requiring fast access times, the ICs feature operating currents of 80 mA and standby currents of 3 mA. They operate from a single power supply of 3,3 V, and all inputs and outputs are fully TTL-compatible. The devices offer fully static operation and tri-state output, and feature a data retention voltage of 1,5 V minimum.
