RedLinX has released a trio of products from BittWare based on the power and efficiency of Altera’s Stratix V FPGA and supporting BittWare’s multicore floating-point Anemone FPGA co-processor.

Unlike existing DSP chips, the Anemone is programmable in standard ANSI C and couples directly to the FPGA, allowing for both rapid development and very low latencies, with low power consumption.

These pre-integrated products are available in PCIe and VPX form factors and are supported by BittWare’s ATLANTiS FrameWork which provides seamless routing of all onboard data, I/O and memory; and by BittWorks software tools which include host interface libraries, a variety of diagnostic utilities and configuration tools, debug tools and I/O drivers.

The S5-PCIe is a PCI Express board with VITA 57 FMC I/O site or dual QSFP+. It boasts a PCIe x8 interface supporting Gen1, Gen2 or Gen3, and the 2 QSFP+ cages allows dual 40GigE or eight 10GigE interfaces direct to the FPGA for low latency. An expansion site for Anemone co-processors can add 96 GFLOPs of floating-point performance. The board features up to 32 GB of DDR3 SDRAM with optional ECC, and utility I/O including USB 2.0, RS-232 and JTAG.

The S5-PCIe-HQ is a half-length PCIe board with dual QSFP+/SFP+, DDR3 and QDRII+. It also has a PCIe x8 interface supporting Gen1, Gen2 or Gen3, and dual QSFP+ cages for 40GigE or 10GigE direct to the FPGA. It accommodates an optional Anemone floating point co-processor and has up to 8 GB DDR3 SDRAM and up to 72 MB QDRII/II+. Two SATA connectors are provided, as are USB 2.0, RS-232 and JTAG.

The S5-6U-VPX is a rugged 6U VPX board with two VITA-57 FMC I/O sites for processing and I/O expansion. It features two high-density Stratix V GX/GS FPGAs and two optional Anemone floating-point co-processors, as well as an 800 MHz ARM processor for FINe host/control bridge. 48 multi-gigabit transceivers are provided along with up to 8 GB onboard memory. I/O includes GigE, SerDes, LVDS, JTAG and RS-232.
