RFHIC has introduced two new gallium nitride (GaN) Doherty power amplifiers.
The RTP21005-11 is a 5 W device that provides 37 dBm of average output power from 2110–2170 MHz. With 40% efficiency, it is targeted at LTE remote radio head (RRH) solutions or outdoor small-cell backhaul equipment. It features 50 Ω input/output impedance and a built in output isolator.
The amplifier measures 100 x 50 x 20 mm and is 100% RF tested and thermal aged for immediate application. A 35 dB gain model is also available.
The second new device – the 80 W RTP18080-20 – provides 49 dBm of average output power from 1805 to 1880 MHz. It, too, has 40% efficiency and is suitable for LTE RRH solutions.
In addition to the same features as present in the RTP21005-11, the 162 x 125 x 18.8 mm RTP18080-20 has a built in monitoring circuit.
