Samtec’s line of coax cable systems includes a cost effective, micro discrete wire coax solution for high-speed applications. The coax cable assembly (FCF8 series) and board level connector (FCS8 series) feature a compact design and rugged features ideal for applications that require a space saving, economical solution for high-speed transmission of data in micro-industrial, medical/military instrumentation, and many cable-to-board signalling applications.
The FCF8/FCS8 system is available with a choice of 10, 20 or 30 total contacts on a 0,80 mm pitch, with the outside contacts grounded to the outer body shielding. The cable assembly features AWG #38 micro discrete wire coax cable, available in any length longer than 76,2 mm.
A positive latching system, metal shielding for EMI protection, and standard weld tabs on the surface-mount connector make this an ideal system for harsh environments and other rugged applications. Application specific cable lengths are also available.
