Rosenberger has expanded its interconnect offering with two new product series for applications in the radio frequency (RF) range.
The innovative elastic board-to-board connection EIC (elastic interface coax) enables reliable RF connections between printed circuit boards or other subunits. Designed as a one-piece surface-mount connector, the EIC board-to-board connection can be implemented quickly and easily as additional manual assembly of individual components is not necessary.
The connectors feature a frequency range up to 10 GHz, power handling of 130 W @ 2,7 GHz and EMI shielding of 85 dB @ 2,7 GHz. They are suitable for board-to-board distances of 7 mm and more, have a pitch of 12,4 mm and can tolerate misalignment of 1 mm in the axial direction and ±0,6 mm radially.
The second new product family is the WSMP, which is based on the established SMP series and is ideal for high-density applications and frequencies up to 100 GHz, making them well suited for aerospace and military engineering, in addition to commercial systems.
WSMP connectors are about 45% smaller than SMP connectors and feature high packing density and a push-on coupling mechanism. They are available in multiport versions and can be supplied with insertion and extraction tools to facilitate assembly.
