Verotec has introduced new 3U 4HP versions of the EPLAX VeroPower family of 19” subrack pluggable AC-DC switched mode power supplies to add further capability to its KM6 subrack and metal enclosure families.
At only 4HP (2 cm) wide and a standard 160 mm deep, the new units leave ample space in the subrack for active system boards. They are available with power rails that suit the requirements of many embedded computing applications.
The complete VeroPower range consists of pluggable PSUs with power ratings from 20 to 150 W. Output power levels of 20, 40 and 50 W are available. The 20 and 40 W versions have 94–253 V a.c. autoranging inputs, while the 50 W has a 115/230 V a.c. switchable input.
The monovolt 20 W unit has single voltage rail outputs: 5 V/4 A; 12–15 V/1,4 A or 24 V/0,8 A. Three trivolt 40 W versions provide either 5 V/4 A, +12–15 V/0,6 A and -12–-15 V/0,6 A; +12–15 V/1,4 A, +12–15 V/0,6 A and -12–15 V/0,6 A; or 24 V/0,8 A, +12–15 V/1,4 A and -12-15 V/0,6 A. The monovolt 50 W unit gives 5 V/10 A, 12 V/4,2 A–15 V/3,3 A or 24 V/2,1 A.
All versions use the industry standard H15 connector and pin-out. All outputs are highly stable, with worst case line and load regulation a maximum of 0,1% and ripple typically less than 20 mVpp. Short circuit, output current limitation and output over-voltage protection are provided, and a powerfail signal is available on all 5 V rails.
