The latest STM32F030 Value Line microcontrollers from STMicroelectronics are targeted at lower-budget projects while offering access to a full portfolio of hardware- and software-compatible 32-bit microcontrollers ideally suited for performance improvements and product extensions.
The new line is based on the ARM Cortex-M0 core running at 48 MHz.
It begins at 16 KB Flash and 4 KB RAM in a 20-pin package, and comprises a total of five parts up to 64 KB Flash, 8 KB RAM and 32-, 48- or 64-pin packages. All variants feature a 12-bit, 1 MSps ADC, 1,2 V internal reference, communication peripherals, temperature sensor and timers capable of supporting ADC synchronisation, dead-time management and PWM timing for motor control.
An internal RTC and 5-channel Direct Memory Access (DMA) also help ease application development and improve performance.

The end of ‘entry-level’: STMicroelectronics’ STM32C5 sets a new baseline for embedded systems
DSP, Micros & Memory
[Sponsored] Instead of incrementally improving legacy Cortex-M0+ architectures, STM32C5 introduces a Cortex-M33-based platform into the entry-level category. This changes not only performance expectations, but also how engineers approach system architecture, consolidation, and long-term scalability.
