Samtec has added two products to its discrete wire product line, in the form of new cable assemblies and a hand tool.
The SMSS/SMSD Series 2,54 mm pitch Mini Mate universal discrete wire cable assemblies mate with any unshrouded, and a variety of shrouded, 0,64 mm square post headers. This system is available in complete cable assemblies or components for design flexibility. Both high-volume applicators and low-volume hand tools are offered as well.
Also new is the CAT-HT-309-2830-12 1,00 mm pitch parallel action hand tool, which is designed with a contact reel feed for ease of low-volume, pre-production and repair applications. An optional table mount clamp, part number CAT-HT-MNT-01, is offered as well.
This hand tool is for use with Samtec’s ISS1 Series micro-discrete wire housing and CC09R Series crimp style, dual leaf contact reel. A mini reel of contacts (CC09M Series) is also available with a smaller quantity of contacts than full reels, making it possible to build test samples without maintaining a large inventory of contacts.
