Short-stroke pushbuttons

25 June 2014 Switches, Relays & Keypads

C&K Components has developed a series of short-stroke pushbutton switches with an optional kinked-style termination that facilitates secure mounting on two-sided printed circuit boards. With an economical and reliable sealed contact design, they are ideal for a variety of non-power, on-off switch circuits in computer and peripheral equipment, instrumentation and measurement applications.

The PHB series is designed for through-hole PCB soldering, and is available in either 2-pole (operating force 1,67 N) or 4-pole (2,26 N) configurations. Total travel distance is 2,5 ±0,5 mm; with latching travel (for push on-push off action) of 1,5 ±0,5 mm.

Rated for 1 A@15 V d.c., the switches feature contact resistance of 20 m (initial) and insulation resistance of 100 M, with an operational life of 10 000 cycles at rated load. Operating temperature range is -10°C to 60°C. Sold in tray packs in 100 quantities, the PHB series is available with black, grey, red or ivory buttons in square, round, rectangular or indexed styles.
