The MAX11300 marked the début of Maxim Integrated’s mixed-signal PIXI technology.
As the industry’s first configurable 20-channel, -10 V to +10 V high-voltage data converter, the chip is ideally suited for complex applications requiring multiple mixed-signal operations, like base stations and industrial control and automation.
Users can mix and match 20 analog-to-digital converters (ADC), 20 digital-to-analog converters (DAC) or 20 high-voltage digital I/O pins in any order. Graphical user interface software that comes with the converter enables rapid drag-and-drop configuration of the device, allowing any function to be assigned to any pin. The IC integrates a 12-bit, multichannel ADC; a 12-bit, multichannel buffered DAC; and high-voltage analog switches and digital I/Os.
