Instrotech has introduced four new controllers under the Calog brand, featuring an intuitive interface with scrolling text prompts and up to four setpoints.
The Quad Process Controller boasts four process inputs (0/4 – 20 mA) with an optional channel averaging across 2, 3 or 4 input channels. It supplies 24 V excitation, is ideal for use in conjunction with a transmitter, and is easy to scale using low and high display values.
The Quad RTD Controller, with four RTD inputs (Pt100, 385/392/Cn10), also has the ability to average the inputs across 2, 3 or 4 input channels, and use this averaged value for a display source or for setpoint activation. It offers an intuitive interface with scrolling text prompts and a choice of either Celsius or Fahrenheit temperature display. For J/K/N/R/T type thermocouple input signals, the Quad Thermocouple Controller has identical features.
Finally, the new Counter/Rate Batching Controller features three independent counters, ideal for rate monitoring and batching applications. Quadrature (x1, x2, x4), NPN, PNP and TTL sensors are supported and intelligent count modes are provided where users can choose from a variety of smart formulas to suit the application. Advanced features for this model are batching, batch count modification, programmable input functions, setpoint latching and startup inhibit.
Optional features on all of the models are a 4 – 20 mA or 0 – 10 V analog output RS-232/RS-485 serial port and data logging function.
