The four main categories – Type A (lead wire and battery clip), Type B (PC pin), Type C (snap terminals) and Type D (solder lug) – are available in several different configurations (e.g. wires exiting from the side or middle of the battery holder). All of the battery sizes used most commonly in electronics applications are accommodated, including D, C, AA, AAA and 9 V cells.
