Roughly 605 000 documents have been added to RS Components’ product data library (PDL) database over the past six months, thereby enhancing customers’ ability to select the optimal product for their specific application requirements.
The supplementary product data will provide engineers and buyers with greater confidence in their product selection and purchasing for new designs, as well as enabling better use and maintenance of components from a range of leading manufacturers, including Apem, FCI, ITW Switches, Kemet, Molex, Schurter, TE Connectivity, Vishay and Würth Elektronik.
The types of documentation and information added to the data library include datasheets, application notes, instruction sheets, images and drawings. There is also a wide range of literature such as information on safety specifications and certification, legislation and regulations, marketing materials and other technical reference documentation. In addition to this, for many products, the PDL has also seen the addition of new 3D models, Spice models and other assorted pieces of programming code.
RS customers have taken advantage of the company’s large information database and within the past six months have made more than 150 000 downloads of 3D models and technical documents from leading manufacturers in the interconnect, passive and electromechanical components field.
