Kycon has expanded its USB series by adding a low-profile, vertical mount USB 2.0 Type A receptacle to its product line.
With a height of 10 mm, the KUSBVLPX series is ideal when there are low clearances between the printed circuit board and I/O mating plane. It is an ideal connector for designers of product that have space concerns.
The receptacles are available with either black or white insulators, and with standard gold flash plated contacts (30 μm gold plated contacts are available but minimum order quantities may apply). They are designed for through-hole mounting and are made from UL 94 V-0 rated thermoplastic.
