For dynamic applications with high bending cycles at a small radius, Axon has developed ultra-flexible versions of its 1,00 mm and
1,25 mm flat flexible cables (FFC) with flex life exceeding 60 million cycles. Application areas include printers, data storage system, cash dispensers and automated liquid handling.
The cables are available with 4 to 60 conductors that can be either tin or gold plated. As opposed to the standard FFC products with their 100 micron conductors, the ultra-flexible versions use 25 micron conductors. They are rated for voltages up to 60 V a.c. and for temperatures up to 105°C. They are available in type A (reinforcements at both ends on the same side) and type D (reinforcements at both ends, on opposing sides).
