Ultra low phase noise OCXO

22 March 2017 Analogue, Mixed Signal, LSI

The OX–304 from Vectron is a 10 MHz, ultra low phase noise ovenised crystal oscillator (OCXO) with a noise floor as low as –173 dBc/Hz in a compact 20 x 20 x 15 mm enclosure. It is designed for applications that demand extremely low noise sources, including the reference oscillator for a phase-locked loop in the microwave spectrum, and custom frequencies are also available upon request.

The device is supplied from 12 V and outputs a sine wave. Typical areas of use include military radar, instrumentation and test equipment, synthesisers, military communication equipment, DRO reference and satellite communications.
