ERNI Electronics’ MaxiBridge (2,54 mm pitch) and MiniBridge (1,27 mm pitch) series of connectors have been expanded with the introduction of MicroBridge (1,27 mm pitch).
Developed with specifications of customers from the automotive industry in mind, MicroBridge cable-to-board connectors are designed based on the LV214 and USCAR automotive test specifications. Koshiri security and electrical, optional CPA (connector position assurance), ensures a reliable and robust connection. Despite the compact 1,27 mm pitch, MicroBridge is extremely robust and can withstand vibrations in vehicles due to double-sided interlocking. The compact design is also ideal for use in small installation spaces.
The MicroBridge female connectors include IDC and crimp termination, while the modular family comprise single- and two-row versions with 2 to 40 pins. The single-row IDC female connector is available with a 90° and 180° cable outlet, and the two-row version with a 180° cable outlet. The crimp contacts in the female connector housing feature primary and secondary interlocking, whereas with the IDC versions, the contacts are already assembled in the housing.
The male connector, designed for SMT, is available as both a straight and angled version as well as single- and two-row versions. The modular design also enables female connectors to be coupled with their male connectors and also consists of the same number of pins irrespective of the termination technique (IDC or crimp).
Colour and mechanical coding optionally available for every number of pins facilitates assignment and prevents improper mating. MicroBridge connectors are suitable for both manual and automatic assembly.
