STMicroelectronics’ STM32Cube software ecosystem now offers a Sigfox expansion package (X-CUBE-SFOX) that includes a set of libraries, open routines and application examples to help reduce time to market. Made for the STM32 LoRa Discovery kit, this platform eases Sigfox portability across the vast STM32 microcontroller portfolio and complies with global Sigfox RCZ1, 2 and 4 zones.
The expansion package consists of a set of libraries, open routines and application examples for the Murata CMWX1ZZABZ-xxx module acting as an end device. It includes an application running on the low-power wireless B-L072Z-LRWAN1 Discovery kit.
X-CUBE-SFOX running on the CMWX1ZZABZ-xxx is Sigfox ready. Two examples are additionally provided in the package, which respectively implement a Sigfox modem controlled via AT commands over a UART interface, and a pushbutton that sends environmental sensor data to the Sigfox network when pushed.
