The National Electronics Week expo returns to Johannesburg on the 11th and 12th of March, but not to the same venue as the two previous editions. Instead of the Sandton Convention Centre, this year’s show will take place at Gallagher Estate in Midrand, following feedback from exhibitors and visitors alike that the Sandton area presents logistical problems, with regards to traffic in particular.
As before, the show is supported and co-organised by ADEC, the South African Association of Distributors and Manufacturers of Electronic Components, many members of which will be exhibiting their wares. Following the success of the Fortronic Lite show which was co-located with last year’s National Electronics Week event in Cape Town, Fortronic will make a return to this year’s event.
Exhibitors will cover the gamut of electronics manufacturing services and products, from components, through production and test equipment and accessories, software, to contract manufacturing, marketing and more. The pages that follow preview just a portion of the show’s highlights.
Visitors will be able to see not only the latest and greatest products from the industry’s major suppliers, but will also be treated to an assortment of technology demonstrations and opportunities to win prizes. Trained personnel will be on hand to assist and attend to visitors’ needs. Over and above the exhibition stands, NEW will feature several guest speakers to present seminars and provide expert opinions. Pre-registration is free simply by visiting www.new-expo.co.uk/newsa/.
After working up a sweat walking around the exhibition halls, anyone wanting to chill out for a while is welcome to visit us on the Technews/Dataweek stand for a chat and an ice cream, as well as an entry into our prize draw.
