eta Awards entries close 6 August

Entries for the annual eta Awards are closing on 6 August. The awards, which have run for 21 years, are organised by Eskom and the Department of Energ to reward exceptional effort in the more efficient use of energy by individuals, students, companies or other institutions.

The 2010 categories, with cash prizes of R30 000 for the winners and R5000 for the runners-up, are:

* Residential.

* Commercial.

* Industrial.

* Innovation.

* Woman in industry.

* Woman in community.

* Young designers.

* Power fitness.

* Energy efficient lighting design.
