1,0 mm thick 10,7 MHz ceramic filters

Passive Components
Murata has introduced a 10,7 MHz ceramic filter with a thickness of 1,0 mm or less, making the filter suitable for thin wireless communications and radio equipment. The SFECD10M7 series is nominally 3,45 x 3,1 x 1,0 mm and surface mount. It provides the lowest profile body in the industry, according to Murata: two thirds of the thickness of Murata's conventional models (which are up to 1,5 mm thick). This is made possible by adoption of a thin exterior substrate made of an improved ceramic material that provides enhanced strength.
These ceramic filters are suitable for equipment requiring reduced thickness, such as card PHS modules and FM radio sets. Because they provide significantly enhanced reliability through material and structural improvements, they can withstand use in automotive electronic equipment like one or two-way remote keyless entry and tire pressure monitoring systems.
These filters can be mounted with lead-free solder (eg, Sn-Ag-Cu solder), and be reflow-soldered at up to 260°C. Murata will begin mass production with a model providing an intermediate frequency of 10,7 MHz and a 3 dB bandwidth of 280 kHz, and then expand the product lineup to offer a variety of intermediate frequencies and 3 dB bandwidths.
