1,8 mm low-profile shielded inductors

21 May 2003 Passive Components

A series of miniature shielded inductors, which provide protection against emissions on densely populated boards while offering board mounted profiles from 1,8 to 4,0 mm are available from BI Technologies. The HM66 Series surface mount inductors provide design engineers with a low-profile device rated for up to 10 A continuous current. They are suited for use in wireless applications, PDAs, PCMCIA cards, disk drives and general use applications.

These inductors feature inductance ratings from 1 to 330 µH. Offering a Class B insulation system, they are suited for temperatures ranging from -25 to 125°C. The HM66 Series also offers DC resistance ratings range from 0,0081 to 1,540 Ω. Footprints for the inductors range from 3,92-10 mm and are packaged in tape and reel. Specially designed for high-speed automatic placement, they are compatible with vapour phase and infrared reflow soldering.
