14-bit ADC offers high dynamic performance

Linear Technology's LTC1746, a 14-bit, 25 MSa/s ADC, is designed to conserve power and digitise high frequency signals.

It boasts 77,5 dB SNR and 99 dB SFDR while dissipating only 390 mW, meeting the demands of high-end medical imaging, portable instrumentation and communication applications. The LTC1745 and LTC1746 combine high-speed performance with a flexible interface. The LTC1745 is a pin-compatible, 12-bit, 25 Msps ADC delivering low noise of 72,5 dB SNR and 96 dB SFDR. The input range on both devices can span ±1 to ±1,6 V allowing the dynamic range to be optimised for the application. If the input ever goes out of range, there is an automatic indicator on the overflow pin. A separate output supply pin allows for easy connection to any CMOS logic family. The LTC1745/6 family comes in 48-pin TSSOP package for both commercial and industrial temperature ranges.
