When more bandwidth is required for demanding applications yet one's budget does not have the 'bandwidth' for a high-end scope, Agilent's new 1 GHz 54833A/D models in its Infiniium series of oscilloscopes could be just the solution.
Locally distributed through Concilium Technologies, the 54833D mixed-signal oscilloscope (MSO) seamlessly integrates a 16-channel logic timing analyser to a full-featured 2-channel Infiniium scope, enabling users to view the complex relationships of mixed analog and digital systems. The 54833A DSO offers the 1 GHz Infiniium performance at low price point without compromising performance or measurement quality, says the company.
Key features, specs and performance include:
* 2-channel DSO and 2+16-channel MSO models.
* Sample rate up to 4 GSa/s.
* Up to 4 million points MegaZoom memory standard with up to 16 million points optional.
* Simple, analog-like front panel with Windows GUI.
* Based on the Microsoft Windows XP Pro open operating system.
* Extensive connectivity and Web-based remote control.
Shown in the screenshot illustration (above) are a data line and the clock of an SDRAM isolated in a write cycle. This was accomplished by triggering with four logic channels of the 54833D MSO when the SDRAM's Chip Select, CAS, and Write Enable lines are low, while RAS is high on the rising edge of the clock.
Agilent Technologies has a 6-minute streaming video demo on the Internet at www.get.agilent.com/scope/msodemo that describes its mixed-signal and MegaZoom technologies.
