Tyco Electronics offers a range of ultra-reliable relays suitable for many different applications. Available locally from Electrocomp, Tyco Electronics' Schrack range of power relays are from one N/O to 4 C/O contacts, capable of switching from milliamps to 30 A, in sizes as little as 5 mm wide and sensitivities down to less than 170 mW.
The choice includes interface, multimode and power relays, with up to four poles, which can be PCB-mounted or push-fit into DIN-rail mountable sockets and offer plug-in accessories such as LED indicators and protection diodes.
For example, the Schrack SNR slim interface relays offer a single changeover contact for switching up to 6 A. They can be PCB mounted or put in DIN-rail sockets just 5,08 mm wide.
The RT interface power relay also fits a DIN-rail socket and offers single changeover contact to 16 A or double changeover contacts to 8 A. The RT socket can be fitted with LED indicators and diode protection.
The Schrack MT multimode relay can be directly plugged into DIN-rail sockets. These offer either two- or three-pole changeover contacts up to 10 A. Optional plug-in modules include LED indicators and protection diodes.
The RM power relay has similar mounting capabilities and options, with two- or three-pole changeover contacts operating up to 16 A. The RM series also offers a 25 A two-pole changeover which has the option of direct mounting on a DIN rail.
The Schrack PT miniature relay fits sockets with optional plug-in indicators and protection diodes. Versions are available with two-, three- or four-pole changeover contacts for applications up to 12, 10 and 6 A, respectively.
Schrack DIN-rail sockets use rising-clamp screw terminals, offer secure retention of the relay by means of retaining clips, and many can be fitted with marker tags for easy identification.
