Tyco Electronics' K Power Relay series is a relay that features high-current design. Offering very high switching of 40 A at continuous currents and wide voltage range, typical applications can be found in lamp control circuits, seat adjustment motors window defoggers, and starter solenoid switches.
In an open design the K weighs around 19 g. Nominal voltage is 12 or 24 V while other voltages are available on request. Contact configuration is Form A/C. Max switching current is 300 A (on) and 60 A (off). Limiting continuous current at 23°C is 45 A and at 85°C is 30 A. Voltage drop (initial) at 10 A is 15 mV typical. Mechanical endurance is 2 x 10e5 operations at 13,5 V, 40 A. It has terminals for direct assembly in printed circuit boards.
