Powerful data acquisition chart recorder is compact

16 July 2003 Test & Measurement

Spescom MeasureGraph is offering ViewGraf from Gould Nicolet Technologies. This is a new combination of digital storage with chart recorder that provides for a comprehensive presentation of signal data.

Acquiring data to an on-board hard disk allows recordings to be made over long unattended periods, or archived for further analysis. Alternatively, a 27,5 cm writer can be installed to provide high quality paper output - giving immediate hard copy record. It has a 31 cm removable display for realtime and fast post-storage analysis of data.

ViewGraf offers high performance signal conditioning on up to 32 channels, whilst up to six input positions provide for differential, strain/bridge, accelerometer and thermocouple capability coupled with 12 or 16 bit acquisition resolution. Additional computed waveforms are available using mathematics on individual channels or channel combinations, to provide live analysis.

Digital storage rate is up to 500 kSa/s with 100% pre- or post-trigger and with paper speeds to 100 mm/s. The control provides ease of access to the chart speed, amplifier spans, signal position, display speed and start/stop of the acquisition and chart for fast response during testing. Connectivity and data transfer is available via USB, Ethernet or removable zip drives.

The modular design enables systems to be configured to meet specific requirements. Configuration flexibility makes ViewGraf suitable for a wide range of applications. The front panel and display is detachable for remote control and display viewing and the signal conditioners are modular, to configure the input channels for any type of signal.
