Ultra low profile PCB connector

30 July 2003 Interconnection

Hirose's DF18 is a connector that stacks PCBs or FPC to PCB at 1,5 mm, but also offers a reduced footprint by using 0,4 mm pitch contacts. Whilst the profile is low; a contact wipe of 0,4 mm is achieved, which guarantees electrical performance.

The DF18 connector series is offered in 20, 30, 40, 50 and 60 70, 80, 100 and 120 positions. The connector is supplied in tape and reel packaging with optional two PCB retention contacts on each corner to maximise mechanical strength.

Specifically designed for robotic assembly and able to self align itself to ±0,33 mm, it also gives a reassuring tactile click that tells you the connector is fully engaged. Rated at 30 V a.c. and 0,3 A, the DF18 connector is ideal for almost all miniature electronic equipment designs where an ultra low profile needs to be achieved.
