For the optimal solution in terms of performance and costs, wirewound or metal film resistive elements are available for the single voltage products. The PTC (positive temperature coefficient), a variable resistance resistor, is the only choice for dual voltage products.
The choice of ohmic value is decisive to achieve the surface temperature that will assure the efficient vaporisation of the chemical element (liquid or solid) in the environment. This choice is even more critical for the dual voltage version, because the correct temperature must be achieved in both working voltages.
The ceramic case design, leads position, as well as the used material are determined by the customer's needs. Versions with an orifice are available for liquid refills. Case composition can be either in steatite or porcelain, with optional varnished surface.
