Fischer Elektronik has developed a case for the installation of modules of the PC/104 series which is ideally suited to industrial applications, and also for use under arduous conditions. This case, fabricated in the form of a tube, facilitates a range of possibilities for fastening cards of the PC/104 family and thus permits the safe and simple installation of complete systems.
The case may be used either as a standalone unit or, by using retractable mounting brackets, as a wall-mounted case. For fastening on supporting rails (top hat rails) as per DIN EN 50022, the case is provided with an integral snap-on holder which may be covered.
For effective heat dissipation, additional ventilation slots in the cover plates are available as an option, and a version with an electrically conductive surface to meet EMC requirements is also available.
