Sensor technology web guide

DSP, Micros & Memory
A new web guide on the use of the latest and most sophisticated magnetic pattern recognition sensors is available on Murata's website at www.murata.com/sensor/indexhtml.
There is a reminder about the basic principles of these sensitive and versatile devices, from how to calculate the magneto-resistance effect, to active graphics that show how magnetic flux changes as a target passes across a sensor.
An extensive application guide gives a run-down on how differing models have been shown to work best in various roles. Detailed descriptions of sensors are shown, complete with graphics of essential features and sectional views. Full formulae are given where needed.
Models of output signals, effects of element pitch and detection width on output signal and external magnetic noise immunity are all covered
To reduce customer design time, a recommended amplifier circuit is provided and temperature compensation information is offered for situations that need it. Power supply requirements are defined in detail.
