Aries Electronics, an international manufacturer of standard, programmed and custom interconnection products, has introduced the first anti-static version of a tool that it says provides a fast, easy and inexpensive means of straightening the pins of DIP IC devices.
Designated the DIP-R- SIZER, the tool provides static protection while straightening the pins on 7,62 mm or 15,24 mm centre DIP ICs. The tool eliminates the need for anti-static devices or complex, expensive pin straightening equipment. In use, the device to be straightened is placed on the inside of one side of the tool or the other, depending on centre spacing. One easy squeeze brings the handles together and brings the leads into a tolerance of 8,12 mm or 15,74 mm.
The lightweight, easy to use tool is manufactured of Stat-Kon PBT.
