iMEMS gyroscope wins innovation award
19 November 2003
Electronics Technology
Analog Devices', iMEMS Gyroscope was chosen as a winner in the EDN magazine 2002 'Innovation of the Year' award competition. ADI's ADXRS150 won the top award for the Sensor Components category - the third time an ADI iMEMS product has received this honour. Previous ADI EDN innovation winners included ADXL50 high-g accelerometer (1993) and the ADXL202 low-g, dual axis accelerometer (1998).
The ADXRS gyros use Analog Devices' patented iMEMS (integrated Micro Electro Mechanical System) surface micromachining process - the same process that has been used to manufacture over 100 million accelerometers since 1993 with better than 1 FIT reliability levels (www.analog.com/iMEM).
