Easy to erect tower

19 November 2003 Electronics Technology

Webb Industries developed a temporary GSM tower for use by network operators whilst permission to erect a permanent tower is awaited.

As the tower does not need a foundation it can be quickly deployed and then removed once permission has been granted for the erection of a permanent tower. It is also ideal when additional temporary coverage is required for events such as sporting, cultural and political rallies which place strain on the network operator's current system.

Elsewhere in Africa, where there is a shortage of building materials such as concrete, the tower will be beneficial in providing coverage which would otherwise not be possible.
