Amphenol's range of Smart Card Connector technology includes SIM/SAM; ISO 7816; AFNOR and Hybrids read/writers. Certain of the products are EMV and NSA accredited.
SIMLOCK is the registered trade name for Amphenol's SIM/SAM card reader. Its unique, patented card guide locking system and ultra low profile has made this connector the standard in the mobile telecommunications industry. This surface mount connector is available in six contacts with or without switch. Typical dimensions are 28 (L) x 20 (W) x 2,5 mm (H).
SIMBLOCK, a SIM/SAM card reader without locking hood is available in various heights up to 6 mm. This connector system is very versatile and can be adapted to customer needs. It is also available with or without switch. The new WINGBLOCK was developed for low profile or side entry applications where a card guide is necessary.
Amphenol produces a complete range of 'Full Smart Card' connectors for ISO, AFNOR or ISO+AFNOR applications. This range includes the basic low cost wiping contact type; the high durability landing contact or landing card type and the Hybrid (magstripe and smartcard, TTL compatible) card reader/writers.
Innovative designs like anti-vandal slots, cupped contacts for reliable connection to card chip, various connect to PCB or sub-systems, various height PCB stand-offs; dual port versions for settop box applications; EMV and NSA compatibility and card guides ensure that the customer benefits from Amphenol's experience in this technology.

Editor's Choice Circuit & System Protection
As soon as electronics and electrical systems started interfering with each other, the world had to come to some consensus. Considering physics is universal and does not care about what country electrical/electronic products are used in, it should be the same everywhere, right? It is nearly there, but not quite.
