Maxim's MAX7375 silicon oscillator is available in space-saving 3-pin SC70 and SOT23 packages. It is an integrated oscillator with fixed frequencies that requires no additional components for setting or adjusting the frequency. Start-up is fast (5 µs), and the oscillator frequency is generated directly without use of a phase-locked loop (PLL). The MAX7375 replaces ceramic resonators, crystals, and crystal oscillator modules as the clock source for microcontrollers and UARTs. Unlike these, this device resists vibration and EMI under both manufacturing and operating conditions. High-output drive current (±0 mA) and the absence of high-impedance nodes make the MAX7375 resistant to dirty or humid operating conditions. It is guaranteed over -55 to +135°C. Initial accuracy is 2% (max) and temperature performance is 50 ppm/°C (typ). At 2,7 V supply, current is 1 mA for the 8 MHz frequency device.
